Charcoal Silk Denim

Gitman’s Japanese denim blends cotton with raw silk, giving it a soft, irregular texture without the shine you might expect from silk. At 6.5 ounces, it has the presence of denim but drapes more easily than a typical denim shirt. The charcoal color makes those little shifts in the fabric especially good up close.

A buttoned flap pocket adds a workwear touch. Chalk buttons, a box pleat, and a locker loop bring in Gitman’s familiar shirtmaking details. Easy with black jeans, blue denim, or just about anything else in the shop.
