Wythe does corduroy right. Their cords come from a small Italian mill that’s been doing nothing but cord and velvet since the late 1800s — a place where the cotton still gets washed in a natural stream running through the building. Old-world, dialed-in craftsmanship at its finest.

The Donegal cord is a fabric they developed exclusively. Wythe wanted something that matched the soul of traditional Donegal tweed, so they tapped into the mill’s archives and worked side-by-side with them to reimagine a Donegal look in corduroy. The result is wild: a super-soft, perfectly slubby texture with neps and flecks that feel hand-woven and lived-in. This effect is unique to that mill, and getting it right takes multiple steps most mills wouldn’t even attempt.

This five-pocket model was the first silhouette they used for the Donegal cord program, and it’s become a staple. Same factory as their Bedford cord program, so fit and feel stay consistent — straight leg, slight taper, and a really clean drape.
