Indigo Silk Denim

Denim with a different kind of texture.

This shirt is made from a Japanese fabric that blends cotton with raw silk. The silk does not give it a shiny finish. It brings irregular slubs, a softer feel, and an easier drape than you might expect from denim. At 6.5 ounces, it has enough substance to wear on its own while sitting comfortably under a jacket.

A buttoned flap pocket gives the shirt a workwear note. The rest is classic Gitman: sturdy sewing, chalk buttons, a box pleat, and a locker loop at the back. Familiar from across the room, much more interesting up close.
