Jerry’s Place was a notorious 1950s dive on the Sunset Strip, with a crowd that could include Hell’s Angels, hippies, musicians, and Hollywood stars. It closed in the mid 1960s after a drug related shootout, then reopened under a new name about a year later. Somehow, the place kept drawing people from every corner of Los Angeles.
Even the skeleton logo has a story: its right middle finger is partly missing, a nod to Jerry Garcia’s hand. TSPTR puts that strange little piece of counterculture history on a vintage black tee. Exactly the sort of graphic that gets better when someone asks about it.
