The jean at the center of Studio D’Artisan. The SD-101 is the brand’s original regular-straight model, cut with a classic rise and an easy, untapered leg that feels right without trying to reinvent anything.
Its 15oz selvedge denim is woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms using thick cotton yarns and deeply dyed indigo. The fabric begins dark and stubborn, taking its time before revealing pronounced whiskers, creases, and the rougher character hidden beneath the surface. This one-wash version has already undergone its initial shrinkage, so you can begin wearing it without the raw-denim arithmetic.
