This denim gets its green undertone from the field, not the dye house. Agricultural pioneer Sally Fox began cultivating naturally colored cotton in California during the 1980s, reviving ancient varieties that grow in muted greens and browns rather than ordinary white.
Studio D’Artisan uses that naturally green Fox Cotton for the weft, then crosses it with an indigo-dyed warp to create a 12oz denim with a warm, organic cast. The fabric is soft and breathable from the beginning, while the high rise and wide, straight leg give these painter pants a roomy silhouette with plenty of shape. A tool pocket along the right leg finishes the job.
